IIRC all artifacts are "good", but they also have radiation that needs to be countered with other artifacts that remove radiation. Side quests usually give rewards like items and/or money. Even then you'll die easy, so ALWAYS use hard cover when engaging enemies, and aim for their face.ģ.
Try to avoid combat until you get some decent equipment. Try to buy/find an optic ASAP, as iron sights will put you at a severe disadvantage.Ģ. If you're just roaming/looting, then you'll want to save weight and use light armor with minimal weapons/ammo etc etc If you're going artifact hunting, then you'll want armor that protects you from anomalys. If you're attacking an enemy camp, then you'll want heavy armor, and weapons that use more common ammo. It all depends on your playstyle and what you're doing/where you're going.

Never try to find some guides where is what on the internet, it break the Stalker feeling, cause every time you play the game, you will find some new stuff you did not find before. Sometimes it is not worth it, but yeah, you can try your luck. Some sort of duty armor or the Exoskeleton, heavy powerful armor which is very heavy and you cant run in it, but you get some +weightĪlso, from some guys in the Zone or somewhere in the Zone, you can find a special type of weapons, which has some changes from their basic stats.Īnyway, make sure to loot every death body, you can get some stashes and there you can find very useful loot.
